Hazardous good transportation – A.D.R.

Our hazardous goods transportation service guarantees the safe handling of all types of hazardous materials, in accordance with legislation governing land-based transportation by road (A.D.R. – “Accord Dangereuses Route”).

ADR aims to prevent and eliminate any risk that may involve people’s safety, damage to goods or environmental pollution.

In order to eliminate all risks, it is necessary to apply certain regulations for the loading, transportation and unloading of this type of material.

Hazardous goods

Certain criteria determine the hazard level of goods and, depending on the hazard level, the goods are assigned a class and a specific packaging group (ranging from level I, highly hazardous, to level III, moderately hazardous).

Checks and safety

We attach the utmost importance to contracts for the transportation of hazardous goods and cargo and that is why we have developed operating processes in which the sequence of required checks has been analysed in detail to provide the utmost guarantee of safety.

All personnel involved in this type of goods handling and throughout the process are specialised and continuously trained on the legislative updates and all the regulations concerning this job.

A.D.R. transportation vehicles

The transportation of material under the A.D.R. is extremely complex and delicate and, in addition to requiring ad hoc expertise on the part of all the resources involved in the transportation, also requires the vehicles used to have specific requirements.

The vehicles we use to transport A.D.R. substances and materials are compliant with legislation and are therefore specific and suitable for handling all types of hazardous goods in the utmost safety.

To carry out this kind of transportation, the vehicles are fitted with special equipment and our travelling personnel have a special licence that has to be renewed every 5 years.
